Sweet Meats & Sour Grapes Opening at Space 242 This Friday Night!

After months of work and planning the opening is finally here! Come out to the South End this Friday, the 27th from 6-8pm and toast the end of winter with me, Jennifer Lewis and 400 of your closest friends. For more info and a sneak peek of the work go to Space 242's site. Thanks to everyone who has supported me while I got ready for this. I've also updated my portfolio site-new stuff in the Fine Art section of the gallery. BOOM.

Blogs I like: Pinkergreen and Cantab Publishing

Two local talents have great blogs that you should know about. I always look at design firm Pinkergreen's blog for design info and inspiration, so I was psyched that they posted about my upcoming show at Space 242 today! Also, my friends over at Cantab Publishing have their blog up and running. Ryan just posted some fantastic photos from the Shepard Fairey exhibit at the ICA. Bookmark them both!

My Dad

My Dad has been a huge influence on my art and art making. He's done more illustration work than I will probably do in my entire life. I've included a couple of my favorites from early in his career. The top and bottom pieces are colored pencil and the middle piece is a painting. I love you, Dad.

Typewriters in Portsmouth

Walking around Portsmouth after The Cute Show, we passed by this office supply store that specializes in typewriter repair. These ones were in the front window.

Hello ellO

Thanks to everyone who came out to The Cute Show at ellO last night! Byrdy and co. did an awesome job and the show looked great. Plus they had mini cupcakes and Sparks, so really there was something for everyone. It was my first visit to Portsmouth and it was definitely worth the trip. I'm really happy I got to be part of the show and hope to work with ellO again in the future. There was a short write up about the show on Seacoastonline, and they featured my Sleeping Skunk painting! Table of accessories and stationary featuring work by me, Argyle Whale and other artists. Elise has an amazing norwal and unicorn print (not on this table) that I have to get.
Etched cards by Andrew DeVecchio.
The mini cupcakes.
Jamie Fales work. A Boston Terrier with Flavor-Flav esque gold chains? Check.
My Ouch-o-pus and some necklaces and button packs.
The one blurry picture I took was of my work on the wall. Rats. Yes, the skunk painting is crooked (don't worry it was fixed!).
Some more stationary. The beard card and pillows are from Sarah Coyne.
Bradley Hoffer's work.
